Continuous Passive Motion (Kinetec Spectra Kompanion)

The Kinetec Spectra Kompanion utilises the latest app based technology to provide additional therapy modes with an intuitive tablet control.

Uses :

  1. CPM is carried out by a CPM device , which constantly moves the joint through a controlled range of motion; the exact range is dependent upon the joint , but in most cases the range of motion is increased over time
  2. CPM devices are used during the first phase of rehabilitation following a soft tissue surgical procedure or trauma.
  3. Control post-operative pain, reduce inflammation, provide passive motion in a specific plane of movement, and protect the healing repair or tissue.
  4. CPM is used following various types of reconstructive joint surgery such as knee replacement and ACL reconstruction.
  5. CPM following stroke: The fundamental movements provided by the CPM units, potentially allows for a remedial and fast progressing therapy.

Features:

  1. Tablet-based touch-screen handset
  2. Extensive range of exercise modes
  3. Alongside the usual CPM movements of flexion, extension, pause in extension/ flexion, speed, timing and load, this CPM provides a range of additional movements including ‘spring’ mode, extremity focus mode, dynamic
  4. Stretch mode and evaluation mode
